Flash Player Ocx Control 9.0 For Windows Xp Windows 7
. Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000/XP. Internet Explorer: SwFlash.ocx. Netscape: flash32.exe. Mac OS PowerPC. flash4playerinstaller.hqx. Achieved 100 million installations of the Flash Player, thanks in part to its inclusion with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.
Saw the introduction of streaming MP3s and the Motion Tween. Initially, the Flash Player plug-in was not bundled with popular web browsers and users had to visit Macromedia website to download it; As of 2000, however, the Flash Player was already being distributed with all AOL, Netscape and Internet Explorer browsers. Two years later it shipped with all releases of Windows XP. The install-base of the Flash Player reached 92 percent of all Internet users.
I was having the exact same problems mentioned in this topic.Uninstalled/installed Flash and Shockwave. Used the appropriate uninstaller, searched for rogue.dll extension files, cleaned out theC:WindowsSystem32MacromediaFlash files, looked at the manage add-ons,posted on this forum, e-mailed Adobe, spoke with them on the phone and evenuninstalled IE7 and went back to IE 6.
None of that helped.Reading through some of the responses on various posts, I found the following:Uninstall flash with the latest Adobe stand alone uninstallerDownload Complete Standalone installer Flash Player 9 earlier version fromshockwave with the latest Adobe stand alone uninstallerDownload Stand-alone installers for Shockwave Player: previous versions onlyUsers of Windows XP operating system must use the 8.5.1 Shockwave playeror higher. Hi Paul,I encountered a very strange issue with Flash Player.
The issue occurs on anybrowsers (including IE6, IE7, FireFox, Opera) running on Windows XPProfessional German Edition (only with German Edition of Windows XP with LargeFont settings - by going to Display Properties - Appearance - Font Size -Large).In such a situation, every time I try to upload a picture using this site, thebrowser automatically closes without any error message:would like to send you the Flash log file as well as the file containing thePC configuration but I don't know how I can send them to you. Many thanks,Trung. I don't know if this is the right place for this question, but here goes.I have PC with WIndows XP Media Center edition and just discovered in MediaCenter an 'Online Spotlight' option which contains videos, games, etc.Regardless of the choice I make, it says I need to update my Flash player, gives an option to download update then says it needs to be opened in browser,I choose that and it goes to Microsoft Explorer and can't find page.
I useFirefox, so I copy the link, download the Adobe Flash and Shockwave programs -everything seems to be fine.except I just ge the same message again and again.what's going on here? And I'm posting to this thread simply to show howunbelievably long a person can suffer.
I'm going to post a new thread linkingto this one, but I gotta say, this kind of thing is really unforgiveable.I had a fix that worked (posted back in 2006) and made my own websiteoutlining that fix. I had over 2000 hits and apparently it was successful for82% of the people who left feedback.
Which is still kind of pathetic sinceFlash Player is virtually.pun intended. impossible to live without these days. Now, I have a new computer.
After some relative peace with Flash Player forthe past year and a half, I was forced to download the latest release of Flash9 (9.0 r115) and the H-E-double-hockey-sticks has started all over again. Adobehas very kindly (please note the heavily dripping sarcasm) removed the version9 beta (9.0.18.16) that WORKED and I am back to randomly crashing 6 - 10 timesa day on any number of websites/games that utilizes the player.Mind you, this is a BRAND NEW COMPUTER!
A fresh installation of WinXP Pro (noVista for me until Mr. Gates irons out the multitude of incompatibility issueswith that load of manure), no possibility of corrupted registry files orleftover Flash files.
I basically have Ad-Aware SE, Spybot S&D, Avast!, Office2003, WLM and NOTHING ELSE.I try to play online games with MSN Zone and Shockwave.com and NOTHING ELSE.Crash and burn, over and over.Disgraceful.I pray to all the cyberspace gods that Paul Betlem is still employed withAdobe. Thanks for the vote of confidence. I'm still around.I'm truly sorry to hear of your ongoing problem with the Flash Player, and9.0.115 in particular. I'm sure its frustrating given that you're using a newmachine.
I'd be upset, too.Its difficult to predict what's going on. If you're willing to try a fewthings, myself or some others on the support team can try to isolate theproblem so we can fix it.Can you get the crash to occur on a single web site with only one browserwindow running and only one browser tab open? Simply open your browser and godirectly to the game that has crashed in the past.If so (and you're using IE), would you be willing to try the same thing underFirefox?

(You'll need to install the Flash Player plug-in for Firefox).Let me know if you can get IE or Firefox to crash in this scenario. If so, canyou provide the URL where the crash occurred?- Paul (Adobe Systems). Hi,If your computer is rebooting, Flash isn't the root of the problem. FlashPlayer runs in the browser process and the most it can do is crash the browser. Its possible that Flash is tickling or triggering a more fundamental bug, but amodern OS will generally only crash or reboot due to a driver or hardwareproblem. If you're comfortable updating your audio or video drivers, this wouldbe a good place to start. This issue is particularly odd because Yahoo mail doesn't use Flash.
The onlypossibility would be an occasional Flash ad, but you'll encounter these sameads anywhere on Yahoo's site. Are you running Windows 98 as it sounds like your system is in a bad state?Reboots are simply unacceptable.Another option is to upgrade to the newest version of Flash Player as thiscould help, but its unlikely to help since your problem is more fundamental.Paul. I get this message just about every time I try to get on the internet-Microsoft has encountered a problem the add on running is flash9e.ocx. I haveuninstalled and reinstalled about a million times. I can run the internet if Idisable this add on however there are web sites that I can not view because ofthis. I am getting real tired of this and feel like letting every major newsstation know what a problem this is and how long this has been going on since Isee postings as far back as 2005.
I have gone to every Adobe try this fix andnothing has worked. I bet if your computers were crashing all the time youwould fix this problem! I'm also having the error with Flash9e.ocx. I get it when I have thecombination of two sites open:1. My Rogers Yahoo mail (- only when using their newmail interface2. Chowhound - any combination of pages on their site (e.g.error usually occurs for me when I am opening multiple Chowhounddiscussion threads at once by using ALT+T and clicking on the link. I'massuming a certain Flash ad or video on one of those pages is causing theerror, but since the content is not static it's hard to pin it down. This error doesn't occur when only one of the two sites is open - it's alwaysin combination.
Does that make any sense? I've also tried uninstalling andre-installing Flash to no avail.
Any new thoughs or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks! :disgust; Well it has happened 6 times today!!!!!! I really find it hard tobelieve that it can not cause your computer to reboot when it is happening toso many people. What is this add on for anyway because it sure does not seem tobe worth anything but shutting down your web sites and it does not matter whatsite I am trying to look at anything from wedding gowns to games to recipes toon line classes it just randomly s up everything so how am I supposed toknow what is causing this. Is there any other program out there that works likeflash player because I am going to buy a new computer this weekend and I swearif I have to install flash9 and it shuts this one down I will file a complaintwith every agency I can find.
